Hypnosis for Effective New Year’s Resolutions

0

How would you like to find an effective way to make that New Year’s Resolution actually work, permanently? Research shows that only about 5 to 15 percent of New Years Resolutions normally are successful. Hypnosis is a powerful method to create self-improvement in a natural, drug-free way. Hypnosis isn’t “mind control”…. to be more specific, hypnosis is NOT someone else controlling your mind. Hypnosis is a means of learning how to control your own mind, learning how to make the changes that you want in your life. Check out our January Special, below.

Why don’t New Years Resolutions work?

The simple answer is that we’re using the wrong part of our mind to try and make changes.  Most people try to use willpower to change long-established patterns. The problem is that willpower is the conscious mind, but the habits you’ve created are stored in the unconscious mind.

When you first learned to tie a shoelace, or drive a car, or eat with a fork, you had to think about every move you made. After a while, though, it slipped into auto-pilot, the unconscious, so you don’t have to think about it any more. This makes it easier to accomplish other things in your life. And for most of us, when it slips into auto-pilot, it becomes a permanent fixture.

When trying to change a pattern with willpower, as soon as you stop focusing all your attention consciously on making that change, then the unconscious takes over and the old habit is back. Willpower won’t change the subconscious. This is why research is showing that only about 5 to 15 percent of New Years Resolutions are successful.
